About Conservation on the Coast

Attawapiskat, Fort Albany and Kashechewan Power Corporations collaborated to form one entity, Conservation on the Coast (COTC) to deliver their mandated conservation programs:

COTC Management

COTC is managed jointly by the three Power Corporation General Managers plus one board member from each community and the FNEI CEO
COTC Project Manager: Craig Nootchtai
COTC Technical Assistance: Rick Brant and Gail Lawlor
A local Community Coordinator, foreman and 6 workers, plus outside resources as required, do the energy retrofit work

Our mission is to provide our communities with:

  • Education and awareness of energy conservation
  • Collaborative energy efficiency programs resulting in safe, healthy and affordable homes and buildings
